House Advantage This is what the house is expected to win, over a period of time from the game. Often called the house edge, the lower this house edge the more value for the player. Ladder man This is the person employed by the casino to oversee the smooth running and operation of the Baccarat game. Le Grande This is the Baccarat term given to the best hand, which as you may now be aware is a hand totalling 9 in value. Modulo 10 This Baccarat term is what is referred to by removing ten from the value of a hands’ value. Natural This is when the first two cards are worth either 8 or 9 in value. Pallet This is the Baccarat term given to the device used to remove playing cards from the table, it is a sort of paddle. Player This can either be a person who sits down to play or the name that is given to one of the Baccarat hands. Point This is the value of just one single unit of a cards value. Punter This simply means a Player. Punto Banko The standard game of Baccarat is often known by the name Punto Banko. Tie This is when both hands, the Players and the Bankers are worth the same value.
