3 Card Poker

The game of 3 Card Poker is another casino poker game and this one uses the standard deck of 52 playing cards with your aim being to finish the game with one of the poker hand rankings that are displayed on the games’ payout table.

In the game of 3 Card Poker you will also see that the Dealer is dealt three cards and to qualify for extra payouts then the Dealers hands has to qualify, this means he must have at least a Queen in his hand.

3 Card Poker- How To Play

Before you start to play you need to place a starter bet onto the 3 Card Poker table, this is more commonly known as an Ante Bet.

You can also place an optional side bet onto the table, this is known as the Pairs Plus wager and this is paid out separately from the Ante wager, and simply requires your hand to have a least a pair in it to get paid out special bonuses payouts which are listed on the Pair Plus payout table displayed on the table.

Once you have placed your wagers onto the 3 Card Poker table and clicked the Deal button then you will be dealt 3 face up cards and the Dealer is dealt 3 face down cards, you now need to decide whether to fold your hand and lose your Ante Bet or Raise the bet if you feel it is good enough to potentially beat the Dealers unseen hand.

Once you have Raised your bet (a Raise is simply the same amount as your Ante Bet) the Dealer will then reveal his hand, and you are paid out as per the games’ payout tables if your hand beats the Dealers.

3 Card Poker- Strategy

Players usually only Raise their bet if they have a strong pair or higher in their hand, usually this is a pair of eights or higher. The game can be very quick to play so another good strategy is to take your time when playing as slowly, slowly catches monkey as the saying goes, and you don’t want to bust out too quickly!

3 Card Poker- Tips

1. Make sure you have enough funds to allow you to Raise your bet before you start to play, as if you don’t have enough funds in your casino account you will not be able to make a Raise bet and with have to fold the hand, which would be fatal if you have a good hand and a good chance of a win!

2. If you are playing at the casino with a bonus then check whether the game of 3 Card Poker is allowed to be played with it as often casinos will not let it be played with bonus money or require you to play though the bonus on much higher play through terms and conditions.

3. You should think wisely about playing the optional Pair Plus side bet, even though it does offer seemingly good payouts these often have a very high house edge and are therefore poor bets to make.
