The person throwing the dice is called the Shooter, all players get a chance to become the Shooter and this job is taken in turn, so never be in a rush to Shoot, your turn will come round soon enough!

If a Shooter throws some bad numbers your way, then never forget this is nothing personal! The throwing of the dice is done to provide random dice totals, so if bad numbers come up never feel obliged to have a go at the Shooter!

Should, on the other hand a brilliant set of number get thrown in from a Shooter then you can of course give the Shooter as many compliments as you feel is necessary!

When fellow players are whooping with joy, then why not join in! It is all part of the fun of the game.

Knowing what you are permitted to bet on in each phase of the game makes for a good Craps player, you will only annoy you fellow players if you constantly place your chips on bets that are not permitted in that phase of the Craps game, so know your bets!

The casinos’ employees are there to monitor the game, never be afraid of asking them for help or advice, be polite and if you do have a good run of luck then why not flip them a toke or tip!

If you are having a bad run of luck then don’t bore your fellow players with tails of woe no one likes a sore loser, why not take a break and come back when you are in a better mood.

Cocktails waitresses are there to keep you fully stocked with drinks, they are a friendly bunch of people and are simply making a living, they are not you own personal slave though, so always be polite, say please and thank you and tip them.

Don’t barge your way to the table, find a gap and make that your territory, it is definitely a team game so do try and interact with your fellow players, who after all are there to have a good time!

If you are a member of the casinos’ comp or loyalty club then make sure when you first purchase your chips for the game that you let the Craps staff member know your comp club membership number, always take your comp club card with you to avoid delays in having to look you up and monitor your play.

Finally have fun at the Craps table, set yourself a loss limit and a stop win limit and when you hit either of these limits move on, the Craps table isn’t going anywhere and will always be there when you next wish to play.
