If you have never played Craps before when you first make your way to the table you will probably here all manner of Craps terms and sayings, it can often feel like your fellow players are speaking a different language!

But fear not in this section of the website we shall take a closer look at the many different Craps terms you will come across, this will help you understand what everyone is talking about!

Box Cars - Is a Craps terms that is often referred too when the Shooter rolls the dice and manages to roll two Sixes.

Chips Values - When playing Craps your playing chips will be given a value, when playing online you simply point and click to give the chips a value.

Craps Table - No prizes for guessing this Craps term, it is simply the name given to the table the game of Craps is played on!

Come Out Roll - This is the very first roll of a new Craps game, and this is the part of the game when the players is aiming too roll in a Point.

Craps Out - This is when the Shooter rolls a 2, 3 or a 12 on the come-out roll.

Dice - This is the Craps term given to the six sided cubes the Shooter throws, each face of the dice has a number from 1 to 6 marked on it in spots.

Establish a Point - This is the Craps term given to the first roll of the dice and the player is hoping to roll in one of the Point totals

Layout - This is simply the Craps term given to all the various betting positions on the Craps table felt, you simply place your chips on whatever wager you make.

Making a Point - This is the second phase of the Craps game, and here the Shooter is aiming to roll in the same total number as he did in the Come Out Roll, if he does then he has succeeded in Making a Point

Point - The Shooter needs to roll in either a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or a 10 for his Pass Line bet to be deemed a winning wager.

Shooter - The Player who has been nominated to roll the dice is classed as the Shooter.

Snake Eyes - If the Shooter manages to roll in 2 x 1’s then this is classed as Snake Eyes, as two one’s look like two snakes eyes we guess!

Toke - This is simply a tip given to a casino employee by an player, often a player will tip the Dealer or Croupier when they are on a winning streak.

Valid Throw - A valid throw is when the Shooter throws the dice and both dice hit the back wall of the Craps table, if they dice do not both individually make contact with the back wall then that throw is not valid and he has to throw the dice again.
